This is amazing!!!

I'm a little confused about the process though, does this mean that an artist submits their masters to a dev team that then charts the song for them or is the artist responsible for getting the charting done on their own accord and then submitting the song to the dev team

I don't know about this!

It sounds great (and could be a godsend if it is used by big labels and bands like MUSE and Coheed and Cambria), but amateurs doing the charting worries me a little.

One of the things I have always liked about HMX is their commitment to being as accurate as is humanly possible with their charts.

This potentially opens the whole thing up. While giving unknown bands an opportunity, this will assuredly evolve into big bands releasing stuff on their own.

The possibilities are huge. Full Phish shows released by Phish?! One can only dream.
