Best types of mics for recording woodwind instruments

I need some help, I got a vocal microphone that is really bad at recording my clarinet. I need a suggestion on a mic that is less than $50 (US) and is great for recording instruments like my clarinet, and if possible my guitar.

You won't believe me, but a Rock Band Mic works fairly well.
    a21:i broke my g-string fingering A minor
Fogey:C why you shouldn't Bdim. Rather B+. Now that would B#. Was it Ab min? Did you take her back to Db?
