Sony really needs to release a competitor of sorts to XNA really.
Im thinking that the RBN possible with the PS3 at some point down the road if HMX is willing to do it. But the wii I dont think so. Considering the Wii doesn't support patches.

It disgusts me to see everyone talking about how "the 360 always gets support from Harmonix while the PS3 and Wii get the finger."
Don't blame Harmonix or Microsoft! XNA (the network on which RBN is starting) has been around for quite a few years now; it's not Harmonix's fault that Sony and Nintendo haven't created a standardized service with which indie developers can create stuff.
Realistically speaking, I have no idea how Harmonix would bring RBN over to the PS3 unless Sony made a system that's exactly like XNA, which is far from likely.

its nice to think that, but in reality and given the PS3's track record this gen, I highly doubt it. and if they are, you wouldn't see it this year or next probably. or like Home it will be in beta for many years.
Look at GH5, its going to support 360's avatars and Mii's for the Wii, don't you want it to support your Home guy also? You do understand why it can't right? Same with XNA. It's not just HMX that seems to not support Sony. Activision has even threatened to pull its games from Sony unless they shape up this gen and give a price drop or something. Sony isn't leading with innovation this generation (IMO), MS clearly has the ball in their court and respectively developers are right beside them.
and as far as the Wii, could Wiiware even handle this? I haven't seen how you buy songs for RB on the Wii but I had doubts it would even work at all given that systems capabilities, I was proved wrong there so maybe Sony will prove me wrong as well. I say the more the merier but I just don't think is in a position to pull this off. XNA has been successful so makes sense to just stick with this setup and the next evolution of the RBN could then incorporate Wii and PS3 if they have everything in place.
just my 2 cents.
