Rrrgh. HATE that song. She treats him like worse than dirt and the "worst" thing is that she doesn't call when she says she will? Seriously?!
A peek into my RB dreamlist:

Simon and Garfunkel: "A Hazy Shade of Winter"
    Icehouse: "Icehouse"
    The Spinners: "Spaceballs"

This song sucked. The lyrics sound like this 'woman' acts like a ***** to the singer. Never appreciated it.

Not the singer, the character the song is about. Listen to the lyrics and tell me it's not clear.

To me the song is about a middle aged man in denial that his marriage is failing.

Is it sad that, offhand, I only know of two songs for my own track pack?

It never struck me that he was in denial, more that he was coming to terms with his life and then figuring, screw it. "You're the joke of the neighborhood," but, "why should you care if you're feeling good?" Life's becoming a catastrophe? Well, apparently it has to be. Strife builds character, and all that. So what are we gonna do about it? Eh, enjoy what's left of the ride. Take the long way home.

At least I hope the guy is supposed to be in denial about his true feelings for the girl, because he comes off as a pretty big jerk otherwise.
