quickest ways to ruin a song or album?

I can't get into those vocals in any way. It's weird, since I was never uncomfortable with death growls, I just think pig squeals and gurgling sound subpar.

Depending on how I'm playing it, but Suites (if they're all meant to go as one song) or Partial Narratives/Intros/Outros that're broken up, instead of being the single track.

There's usually a gap between the tracks that messes up the flow-together, and it makes for irritation on shuffle play.

When I hear one of the singles on the radio all the time. Especialy if I just got into the artist.

When my sister buys a song for RB that i like, plays and sings the hell out of it. I avoid the song alltogether

There's one thing that always does it for me-- verses and choruses. I'm sure there's an exception or two that have slipped my mind, but usually when a band uses verse/chorus structure in their songs, I can only get through the first 5-6 tracks or so before I get annoyed/bored and have to turn it off.

Some gurgling vocals are fine, although most pitchshifted ones in pornogrind are unlistenable to me. Another kind of vocals I hate: the inhaling pig squeals.

I have nothing against covers in general, but bad covers are probably the worse thing to me in music. It's basically a band saying "Hey, we have no original material to play, and we can't even play someone else's material!"
