Are these songs supposed to be angry lyrically or musically?

Well, Pantera overall is pretty angry. The aggression just bleeds into their music. There's obviously some extreme metal you may wish to look into, although a lot of it is more about technicality than anger. Also, since you like Korn, I would suggest you look into Slipknot's older albums (S/T and Iowa). While they're scorned by most metalheads, Corey Taylor & co. really know how to lay the anger on you (even if it is contrived).

I will continue to hold the idea that Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill is the angriest album ever created until the day I die.
