All of the anger over this compatability issue is being misplaced, I think it's Sony's fault they should have followed Microsofts example and told the game manufacturers that any genre specific controller needs to work with any game in that genre (ie: the LP from GH3 needs to work with RB). I did not know a company could put proprietary rights on a controller. My anger is directed at Sony because they are not standing up for their own system and the people who bought their system, as I stated earlier in this thread, when I bought the PS3 I should have bought the Xbox 360 instead and I wouldn't have this issue to worry about, if I could trade in my PS3 for an Xbox straight up I would, but it don't work like that.
Some food for thought, with this can of worms Activision, Harmonix, and Sony have opened, if a game company makes an FPS and makes a gun style controller for that game and it will be the only controller for that game and not work with any other FPS how many people will be able to play it and how many other companies will follow suit with Activisions line of a controller that only works with the game it came with? how many controllers do we the consumers really need?
Sony needs to adapt Microsofts idea of any genre specific contoller needs to work with any game in that genre no matter what.
So from now on my anger over this compatabliity issue is at Sony for not standing up to Activision and not defending their own platform in this issue, as the PS3 is the only platform the LP does not work with, and their are no other 3rd party controllers on the market for the PS3 as of yet.
