The last we heard from HMXSean he said that there would be no updates but that the plane was still circling and that they were waiting to land, which would seem to be an indication that there was still hope. But I don't know of any plane that can stay in the air THAT long so I'm assuming that the plane and our chances of seeing a patch have crashed into the earth as have my respect for Harmonix, Activision, Sony, and anyone else who may have been involved.
This just sucks...
Waiting for...

I wished I would have read this site before we opened Rock Band on Christmas morning instead of after trying in vain to get the GH3 controller to work with it. Then I jumped on google and searched. Found this thread and became very upset. I almost went off on the manager at Game Stop becuase everytime I asked someone there they said it would work. This was even after the game had been out for a while. If I had known this I might not have purchased GH3 or I would have waited on Rock Band. I like the GH3 controller better myself. I really don't see why it's OK for them to work together on other system but not the PS3. I haven't read the whole thread so maybe I am missing something but it just seems stupid. If there's a patch just put it out!
Is there some email/phone number for whomever is involved so we can inundate with our complaints?!
I just wanted to give my two cents since I work at a GameStop. I've seen a few people on here upset about being told by GameStop employees that the GH3 guitar will work with their copy of Rock Band for the PS3, then later finding it won't.
While working, my boss had been asked if the GH3 guitar would work with RB... and he replied that it would, I only barely overheard it and cleared up that it would in fact not work with RB and the customers thanked me and opted against purchasing GH3 after they had almost finished being rung up at the register.
The bottom line, is that the number of PS3 owners to Xbox 360 owners is still small, and unless the employees actively research this type of thing, or own a PS3 and found out on their own, they're oblivious to it because they assume it will have the same compatibility as it's 360 counterpart. Which it should.
If Harmonix wishes to attain their 100% customer satisfaction goal, they either need to work out a solution to this ASAP. If they cannot work out a resolution to this issue and it is actually dead in the water, I think they need to inform retail chains of the compatibility issues on the PS3 version so that customers don't find out about the problem /after/ they have purchased a non-refundable new game.
Fortunately, I'm one of those people who researches and I knew of this issue, which caused me to withhold buying my own copy of GH3 and also gave the the knowlege to help customers make informed decisions. I'd have to say that isn't the case in the vast majority of situations though.

No updates now. The holidays of course didn't make that any easier. Nothing has changed. Since this thread has sort just become about whether I have updated, and I haven't and don't have anything for anyone I am going to lock it to make room for more prescient threads.
Thanks for your continuing patience.
