The thing is, we don't know how long that exclusivity was for. It may have been for a time period, it may have been for a certain number of games, it may have been for a combination of the two. (E.G. one game, and then 12 months after the release of the game). The only people who know are Aerosmith themselves, and the Guitar Hero execs. Might not hurt to somehow ask.

The original on GH: Aerosmith was very difficult and oh so fun, though.

As for the exclusivity, it's a shock that there hasn't been an Aerosmith song in GH since GH: Aerosmith (not counting Smash Hits since it was a single song and the ONLY song from GHA). Seriously, if you're going to shell out the big bucks for something like that then you might as well use it.
