Yes, thanks for the Blu Ray player on the cheap. It kinda sounds like a fax machine when it loads discs, it's cool in a weird technology is going insane kinda way.

Heading down to the Gamestop at Southwest Plaza to try out Dance Central today. I hope it plays like it's worth buying a Kinect for!

It was way fun- my little bro and I did pretty terrible, though, and some girl who had never played but was a dance major showed up and five-starred Funkytown on a sightread. It was wild. The game is great and would be a must-buy if I had the resources to own a Kinect, but over $200 for just one game isn't something feasible for me...

That's basically why I have very little interest in kinect. Don't think I can justify a system for 2-3 games.

Well, we have Kinect pre-ordered (and Kinectimals and I think the Star Ward game in addition to Dance Central) so I guess I'll have to have a DC party sometime in November.

It's pricey - but I think it has real potential long-term particularly in the non-gamer-games genre. Wii-motes? Wii-tarded! Why hold a wand when you can BE the controller?

    Just my 2 cents.

Oh the appeal is there. And you're exactly right bunny. I guess it's just not my thing. I'll give it a shot when I get the chance.

Remember I got the Microsoft discounts now? For God's sake they're already selling Joy Ride on the Kinect early for $20 so my best guess is they're going to have Kinect at half price or so along with Dance Central for the cheap as well if you're interested.

Yes, I am the devil. Nate has told me this.

Because there's still the problem that majority of the games will probably control like crap like alot of Wii-mote games or come down to abunch of mini games just like what's being offered at launch? While it has potential, yes, the big question is whether it'll offer games that can make me put down a controller and say "man, I'm glad they put this on the Kinect!" So far only one that does this for me is Dance Central. I Want an experience that doesn't come down to having a seizure to win a sword fight or whatever else. So while I'll probably buy it, I think it's good to go in there with skepticism as opposed to Microsoft's Wii killer.
