Welcome to our world! Check out the website deathofthearcade.com to see our set up. We don't use the "cheap things". We use the premium equipment, the ion drums and the wooden fenders. A few people bring their own premuim peddles, but we currently use the stock one and it has not had issues so far. It's always great to see fresh faces, so you should definitely come by one of our bar nights and check us out!

To be fair, I'm drunk on rage 24/7 (everyone here can attest to that and then some) and we tend to do fine. Plus if it's the plastic ones we have some knowledge in fixing them, but so far the Woody's are holding up more then fine even with my angry bass strumming.

Oh and back to being off topic, but Jesus Christ all the characters in Guitar Hero 5 look like they're made of Play Doh when they're standing still. It's like a more creepy Wallace and Grommit cartoon. I Never thought I'd be horrified by Shirley Manson of the band Garbage, but her nostrils look like they'd suck the goddamn soul out of my body. Plus when there's four of them on stage, well...then it get's super creepy. Like how that Addicted to Love music video was creepy for reason's I don't know. Maybe shades of Body Snatchers being real? I Don't know... That and I don't get head while I'm driving when singing Sex on Fire. Only major gripes, but other then that it's not bad...though it's hard to **** up especially after Guitar Hero: World Tour (Van Halen doesn't count).

Mr Pardy speaks words of Truth - he is one angry mo-fo.

DotA has the best set-up hands down. Always an enjoyable experience and the roadies are all super-awesome. Hope you can make it on a Thurs evening sometime soon to check it out. Welcome to the boards!

Thanks, yeah I am trying my damnest for sure... I dunno about the angry part I have been accused of alot of rage when drumming drunk (Slayer or slipknot unleashes evil ) but hey its all fun. It was just a matter of curiosity because all the times I played with groups at parties in Florida we always had that "this game is so damn gay" drunk guy/chick who attempts to play and gets pissed off that people are smoking them so controllers (and fists) soon fly.

Agreed with the GH5 part, I dont own it but I have watched it and yeah it is creepy... I imagine that if i was totally ripped it would really bother me, I wonder how people can play this game high... I have ran into a few people who are completely baked out of thier minds the ENTIRE time they play these games, I wonder if it has ever induced some kind of psychological breakdown, lol.

as a sidenote, funkbunny your sig is probably the best ive seen in awhile... agreed, lol.

Personally, that's one of the things I like the most about Rock Band- the teamwork aspect. You've got to work together and get into a groove to do well, and the only way to fail (provided you've got no-fail on ) is not to play well with others.

As for a trippy game experience, I'm sure most of us can recall our early GH/RB experiences where playing for too long made everything look like it was slowly drifting towards or away from us. Hours upon hours of trying to master expert in Guitar Hero II left me almost unable to walk straight!

In any case, we'd love to see you make it out any time. There's certainly enough rock to go around.
I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe. I was not offended.

haha - I was working at a bowling alley, mindlessly paging through an industry rag, when this slogan caught my eye in an ad for a premium bowling ball. I still have the original text taped to my monitor at work. True story.

Hope to see you around sometime!

August 13 is Scott Pilgrim, which is same day as The Expendables. Which means movie merch/preview screening wise we're probably going to get only ONE of the two. I'm fine with either one, to be honest I'm kinda hoping Scott Pilgrim sucks simply so I have more reason or intent to kick Michael Cera in the goddamn cooter if I ever meet him. Then again after how terrible Kick Ass was I can't help, but be prepared for disappointment...

And goddamn I want to kick down the ****ing doors at the Neversoft studios for putting Coldplay in their games. I Thought I can handle their music, but goddamn it's the soundtrack for lonely housewives to drink red wine and compare their lives to Desperate Housewives. Add this to the fact that I have to whammy all the long notes to get the diamond record in Guitar Hero 5 and you have the making of me wanting to wait until these said people go take a **** and me shove my fist up their ass through their toilets and making them my human puppets.

    Talking Someone Call Guiness...

Is there a Guiness World Record for "the xbox with the most Rock Band DLC"? Cuz I think I would win it! 1201 songs on RB2 as of tomorrow. That's not even counting all of the DLC I bought for The Beatles RB either

Your RBN choices this week are:

Band of Horses-"The Funeral" (Courtesy of Nate)
Between the Buried and Me-"Mordecai" (Courtesy of Eric)
Circus Circus-"First We Feast, Then We Felony" (Courtesy of Nate)
    Finger Eleven-"Paralyzer" (Courtesy of DotA)
Senses Fail-"Lady in a Blue Dress" (Courtesy of Nate)
