Such an elaborate matrix for three songs!!! This is gonna be good. You guys didn't have to entertain me, but I am flattered that you are all doing as such. Keep up the good work!

    Talking

I have never seen so much fuss... or (now) organization over a song pack. I didn't even think they where that great of songs, but you guys tend to appreciate the "wall of noise" nonsense more than I do. Lord help the average Joe hangin out at Old C tonight who might want a chance at a Slipknot song.

Should the aforementioned average Joe really exist, I guess Lucas will have to give his spot up 1st since he will be your guest host for tonight. My daughter has a thing at school tonight so that is where I will be. Plus I am going to be just a little sleepy from last nights gig.

Speaking of... last night offered the opportunity to compare apples-to-apples on our fake DJ set up vs. the real DJ set up. All I have to say is, the real DJ's need to step their game up or we need to step ours down, cuz DotA's show killed theirs ! Oh, thanks again to all the roadies who helped out. Hope you guys had fun. Later!

You probably oughta... particularly since Nate's list has you & Matt vying for spots on the drums. And he'll be there, too. He says on his Twitter page, "You have no idea how excited I am for Rock Band night!!!"

That or flex my "Host-power" muscle.
Nah, I'll be a good host and gracefully step aside. However, considering I'm only on Nate's list as a secondary or "afterthought", I'm not sure that'll free up anything for Joe.

Anyway, I realize now I never stated a song preference - though I'm the only one to specify an instrument preference.
I like Psychosocial, especially with the backups in there. Since Danny's already "claimed" Bass on Duality, it may not have to come to blows. I'm certainly not fighting the recently-awoken demon that is Greg and have no interest in Sulfur. You should all get your chance, even Danny on vocals.

What if other Slipknot fans show, though? I still think it's kind of weak claiming the entirety of a new-to-RB artist's song catalog for yourselves, but... we'll see how things pan out.

We certainly did have a lot more "flash". Never got any strippers dancing to our tunes, though.
I don't know about "apples-to apples", however. That's like comparing a Rock Band setup to a live Rock Show. (if said show were particularly lackluster & devoid of stage effects)
    Perhaps... Apples-to-Grapples?

I suppose I should specify, we are doing these songs as specified. However, there is no rule that states the average joe can't do these songs again on the same night. Lord knows it happened with Bat Country and many other numerous songs on a few nights. And I would be more than pleased to see what other people have to bring to the table as far as Slipknot goes. The original warning post was meant as a joke more than anything else, but everyone seems to have taken it way too seriously.

On another, note your argument about us claiming an entire band being weak reminds me of a certain someone who did just that for the Gorillaz songs. I'm just sayin....

Also, "The Beast" is coming tonight, so be prepared.

    Then you're misreading my tone.
(assuming I'm "everyone" ...which my ego tells me I am. )

LOL- Fair enough!! I'd forgotten about that.
Haven't played a Gorillaz song in a while, though I've got "White Light" stuck in my head at the moment. *heh

This is why I don't post often, sarcasm and tone of voice don't translate over the internet. And everyone primarily meant you and Gabe, mostly because it seemed you were deeply concerned that there would be a knife fight breaking out tonight. Also my list was meant to tell you what instruments me and Greg were claiming, and then I added Danny, you, Kaz and Matt since you were the only ones I knew of that showed interest. Also I had talked to Danny offline and he agreed to the Vocal arrangement and wanted Sulfers Vocals.

Isn't it funny sometimes how we fight over it week of release and then months pass and the songs get no play? Damn Gorillaz, we should do their songs more often, I still need to do Re-Hash justice.
