Can we swap venues in Quick Play?

The way the animations have been produced for each song and with each venue in mind, I'm not sure whether we'll be able to swap venues for songs.

Each song is obviously listed at a venue in the songlist we've seen so far - but will we be able to, for example, play non-dreamscape tracks in alternate venues? Say, I Wanna Hold Your Hand on the Rooftop, or Paperback Writer in the Cavern Club?

Beyond that, is it even slightly possible we'll be able to play Dreamscape songs in live venues? I Am The Walrus in the Cavern?

I highly doubt we'll be able to play Dreamscape songs in live venues (would almost defeat the purpose of having the dreamscapes in the first place) but I have no idea whether we'll be able to mix venues.

I really would want to play "live" songs in different venues. Imagine Dig A Pony at Shea/Cavern. Imagine Paperback Writer in Cavern/Rooftop. That would be awesome!

I hope so too. I seem to remember an interview with Dhani saying how fun it would be to mix the venues up, but no confirmation I guess.

It would be cool but there's no way it'll be in the game.

And I say that because for the most part, it wouldn't make sense. For example the younger Beatles at the Cavern Club couldn't sing Get Back; they hadn't written it yet. Unless you're going to take how they are animated on the roof-top and put those guys in the Cavern Club/Shea Stadium/whatever. And now that I think about it...it would look weird. Cool at first for the sake of seeing it, but I imagine most would see it once and then realize they prefer the historical accuracy of the look for that period matching the song they're playing. It's hard to imagine the "roof top Beatles" playing I Saw Her Standing There. Which is again why I don't get people having an issue with the game being 1 band. The Beatles were so varied, they were multiple bands in themselves.

I dunno. Yes it would be neat to have the option to do it, but I can see myself seeing it once and then just wanting it to be how/where the songs were originally done. I think it would wear off quickly.

I could see them going either way, but leaning towards "no"

I take the opposite stance: realism will be what gets boring. It's a videogame so why be constricted by reality? But, making this happen would take lots of effort all for a bonus feature so I don't think it will happen either.

As cool as it would be to see I Am The Walrus at the Cavern Club, it will not happen.

Highly doubt it. Look at the Ticket to Ride video that was just posted: all of the harmony singing, etc., has been mapped to the visual. Either they'd have to sacrifice completeness/consistency to have it display in a different venue, or they'd have to program every song for every venue.

I guess one thing they can do is have a "default" quickplay venue (say, Shea Stadium) for every song, but again, that's extra work that's not necessary.

I wonder if they'll have a create a set list function in the game like RB2?, would be limited to doing a certain set of songs at a time

    e.g using the CASL function:

picking 'I wanna hold your hand'

limits you to the songs in the Ed Sulivan Theatre:
    *Can't Buy Me Love
    *I wanna Be Your Man
