Guilt Machine Trailer (Arjen Lucassen's new group)

Was on his official facebook thing today/late yesterday.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Om8FgC87C8

Kind of iffy on the singer, though samples don't do much, he seems a tad one dimensional (really long drawn out wailing) through a lot of the trailer.

And no love for their drummer apparently, no credits in the video or appearance

Chris Maitland drumming? Yes. Yes. Yes. Do want.

I agree with you on the singer, but I wasn't keen on Stream Of Passions singer at first as well, but it grew on me eventually, as I'm sure this one will as well.

Can't wait for this album. I think its gonna go straight into my best of 2009 list. I hope it does, at least.

Maitland is pretty well glossed over because, from the sounds of things, he was more or less just brought in to the studio for stuff. If Guilt Machine tours (and most of Arjen's side projects end up doing at least one tour), my guess is that Ed Warby drums on it (as Maitland will be busy with King Crimson).

I'm sorry, but being negative about Marcela in my presence might lead to the sudden disappearance of forum accounts. I try to be fair and balanced, but there are limits. She's the best female vocalist I've ever heard live, bar none. Gorgeous and extremely nice too (even though our 'conversation' didn't go beyond me mumbling something about liking her voice and shuffling away embarrassed to talk to Arjen instead).

As for Steverlink, what I've heard here so far is already a million times better than his work with his usual band Arid. Arjen has a reputation for getting the absolute best out of his singers, so I'm sure this album won't disappoint either.

Maitland's drumming will probably be one of the highlights of the album for me, though. The new guy is good too, but his influence on PT is sorely missed.

I'd probably be more intimidated trying to talk to Arjen... good grief, he's tall.

Yeah, but he's extremely friendly and is more like his hippy persona on the Electric Castle than you'd think. Marcela on the other hand is like a midlife version of a teen crush for me... it was a deer in headlights situation. That's how a tiny girl can be a lot more intimidating than a huge guy.

I think I am one of the few who enjoys Steve's voice and Lori's lyrics if they do tour they may have Maitland tour and do it when he is done with King Crimson (or just tour with King Crimson )

I said at first. When I first started listening to Stream Of Passion I hadn't heard many female vocalists. In fact she may have been the first I ever listened to properly. Now that I'm used to her voice I agree that shes a brilliant vocalist.

They have a new song up on their MySpace page... IMO, it's the best one so far
