I apologize for any deceptive methods of market research stemming from my company or any slogans that were taken from your original promotional ideas.

I assure you neither Lori nor I were aware of anything that has transpired.

After learning about the offensive accusations to your company, we immediately let the person go who took the liberty to use my name and Lori’s email address to research in any way. And yes, we don’t want to clone any companies, logos, phrases, etc., and anything we find will be immediately addressed.

I kindly ask you Smeegul, to please remove Miss Trickel’s email address from your reply or any other replies you have posted.

My intentions were always to try to unite this small group of authors and set industy standards to benefit us all and not to create a hostile environment where people are bashing one another. Miss Trickel does not deserve to have her email on display inviting angry letters of hate, as she wasn’t even aware of what had transpired until today.

    Sincerely,
    The Real Benjamin Cable
    HPC

Not sure who the Downers are or what the “me too’ approach is.

E-mail address removed from the post per your request.

I'm not bashing, I'm just trying to raise awareness of people going about their business in a non-ethical fashion. I wish you and HPC the best of luck as I strongly believe there's plenty of room for good authoring services in this market.

That said, I'd keep a close eye on how people represent your company. Speaking as a fellow business owner, I have very strict guidelines for how our authors conduct themselves publicly, as their behavior reflects on my company and ultimately myself.

Sayburr, my company just announced its involvement with RBN. If you have an opportunity to add us to the OP, that'd be amazing.

It is, technically, a correct statement.

Alright. Time to throw my hat in the ring, then sheepishly enter the ring to retrieve the hat because it's been getting kinda cold here lately.

We're a small little group of musicians, gamers, and engineers making tracks for the Rock Band Network. We believe doing a good job is more important than making a ton of money. We believe in giving the little guy as much love as the big guy. We take things just seriously enough to do the job right.

(I am obviously not a marketer either.)

    Electric Flannel,
Hit Play Creations Would like to be The first Company To congratulate you (at least on the forum) for achieving this amazing feat of
creating an actual partnership with Mtv Games & Harmonix. I was totally
under the impresion that this wasnt possible after reading the following on this site:

[ Q. "I'm in a band. Can I get someone else to put my music into RBN?]

[ A. " Yes, you can. A number of Authoring companies have been created for the sole purpose of getting songs into RBN. We aren't officially endorsing or connected to any of them, but there is a list of them on the RockBand.com forums here: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156832"]

Please dont take this the wrong way, I mean this with the upmost respect , It seems you achieved the seemingly impossible and think its awsome you did , I am just greatefull that this new industry is so greatlly outnumberd with demand over supply.

EDIT: no soliciting on this site.

    WE ARE ALL STRONGER UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I'm not sure what the fuss is about with our use of the word 'partnership'...I mean, if Harmonix/MTV provides us with RBN tools and we create downloadable content with those tools and neither of those has a purpose without the other, isn't that a partnership?

No. That would be like saying anyone who uses developer-provided mod tools to make custom content for a game is "partnered" with the game's developer. HMX is actually taking a fairly hands-off approach with RBN because they are not testing and approving your songs themselves; it's done by a peer review system.

I recommend re-wording that to avoid misleading people.
