    hey sayburr,

could you change the blurb under audiofourgames.com to:

With an extensive music and audio engineering background along with programming experience, as well as a passion for great music and games; Audio Four Games possesses all the necessary skills and tools to take full advantage of the Rock Band Network. Audio Four Games will work with recording artists, music labels, and music distribution companies to bring their music to the Rock Band Network in an effort to bring the best possible interactive entertainment experience to fans, and to increase music exposure through the Rock Band music platform.

It still says "Rock Band Audio" at the moment.

    Thanks man!

    Hey, Sayburr, and everyone!

    I would like to introduce:

    Bombsite Studios

Bombsite Studios was started in April of 2009 after the announcement of 3rd party development opportunities for Rock Band 2 DLC (downloadable content).

After spending many years in the game industry, our team saw an incredible opportunity to work with the creators of Rock Band (Harmonix, MTV Networks) to get more music – from local bands and labels, to big names and major players; in short, anyone into Rock Band 2.

Comprised of a team of seasoned and creative individuals with years of experience in video game production as well as music, animation, lighting, pipeline development, debugging, web design, and rawking out, Bombsite Studios is the perfect choice to chart your original music for the Rock Band Network.

    Hit Play Creations News!

Hit Play Creations News:We will be working with the Massachusetts based band Superbug on their first Rock Band game!
su·per·bug (sōō'pər-bŭg') n. 1. A strain of bacteria that is resistant to all antibiotics. 2. An infectious Massachu...setts based rock band resistant to all things trendy and uninspired.

After years of exploring musical possibilities with various different bands, five seasoned musicians came together in February 2009 seeking to produce a fresh, progressive, hard-rocking sound now known as SUPERBUG. Within 5 months of its birth, SUPERBUG had written, recorded, and toured in support of their debut D.I.Y. EP, The Buzzzz.
The E.P. is inspired by only the greatest rock bands spanning from the days of Led Zepplin, Hendrix, and Pink Floyd to more recent greats such as Tool and System of a Down.
Superbug sees a shortage of pure, uncommercialized, original rock bands these days as special opportunity to satisfy the rebellious and boundless spirit within true music fans! www.myspace.com/superbug

You're gonna want to be changing that name. "Rock Band" is a trademarked name, and you're infringing on that. There was another company here calling themselves "Rock Band Authors" and they got a cease & desist letter from MTV Games for using that name. Go ahead and change yours now and save yourself the legal hassle.

I'm not associated with this guy in any way but I'm curious if a not-for-profit blog is OK, just based on the fact that rockbandstats.com is allowed to exist (with the RB2 logo on their home page, even). I can understand why "Rock Band Create" was forced to change to Music Game Authors due to them being a for-profit company.

Well he does also throw in there the "we'll chart songs for you", which indicates that it's not just a not-for-profit blog.

I appreciate the advice. The site really is meant to be a hub for information rather than a "company" for charting. I've also see RockBandAide which is an informational blog. Mine is just meant to house tips for people who want to chart.

I'll see how it goes. Worst case I'll take the site down or at least stop offering the service.

I don't want to take any chances with getting the legal hammer. I went ahead and removed any indication from the site that RBYRB would chart songs. I still want to pursue charting so do you think it would be an issue if I just refer people to a separate entity to do the charting? (the separate entity still being me, but not necessarily affiliated with RBYRB)
