that's a pretty big deal eh? maybe the most popular song on RBN so far?

There's a Snoop Dogg song up in testing now.

But of course which is more popular depends on your tastes I guess

Teenage Dirtbag was one of the songs I've been wanting to play(used to listen to the song, and it sounds like it'd be fun on Rock Band), so this is a big win in my book.

Are you allowed to say which Snoop song? I would think so if you can say Snoop is there at all, but not sure what kind of NDA (if any) was signed to get into closed beta.

Yes, once a song is up for playtest, we can talk about it.

It's a cover of David Bowie's "Fame" redone by Point Defiance featuring Snoop Dogg. The fact that it's a cover is a pretty hot debate in the playtest forums.

Interesting. I thought it was made clear by HMX that RBN has a strict no covers policy. Sounds to me like it should simply fail testing right off the bat.

IM with magnet we were told NO COVERS and Ive got a band with a hot "cover" of a song that is in public domain (Ploy of Oracle's House of the Rising Sun) so theres no legal issues with the song and Ploy of Oracle WANTS/NEEDs us to chart this song and it would be HUGE seller as it is a one of the best renditions of this song ever....

Especially since Rising Sun is public domain, and has been covered by pretty much every band in rock history....

Ploy Of Oracle's version *did* sound awesome, and I really hope HMX changes its tune (heh) to let that track back into RBN.
