I've always wanted to try and get some more Stevie Ray Vaughan. Specifically his cover of Little Wing. Though I figured it wouldn't be possible because it's a cover. Also, I wouldn't even know where to begin to find out who would have to be contacted for him.

creators.rockband.com is the best place to direct people interested in RBN. It's got most of the information they need, and there are places on the forums there where bands can look for authors. This thread also contains a list of authoring groups and isn't a bad place to direct anyone who wants to know who to contact.

While I kniow pretty much nothing about music law, I would be very, very surprised if this was true. I'm under the impression that most music contracts are as specific as possible, and I'm sure the conditions of Harmonix's contract to get Little Wing in Rock Band only gives them permission to use the Jimi Hendrix version (for specific purposes, I'm sure) and would in no way at all help a cover of the song get in RBN.

We need to get in contact with Trent Reznor. Granted, last year, he said that he wasn't sure about putting more NIN music in music games, but with Wish in GH:WOR, he might have changed his mind.

Right, I don't know how to go about doing this at all, so has or can anyone contact Story of The Year telling them about RBN and asking for them to get their songs on there. There a great band and I'm desperate to play along to stuff like "Wake Up" etc

I'd love this. They are a WMG major label band though, I don't know if it would be up to them if they could do it.
