    I once dissed The Beatles...

I heard "With a little help from my friends" called it 'stupid pop music like the jonas brothers'.

I heard a cover of the song, it was for English class, and then I decided to look for it, I saw that The Beatles had made it and I was like 'What? Seriously?' and so I listened.

It's now one of my favorite songs .

Got any stories to tell about their music? Songs that grew up on you or such?
    Prinny, dood.

Heresy! Blasphemy! He's a witch! Burn him!

My only similar experience was that I had heard the main riff from Hey Bulldog before but had never knew it was from that song. After hearing so many people talking about it, I heard it and Captain Kirk'd brix. In a similar vein, I had heard I Want You (She's So Heavy) without realizing what it was on the radio for years, and when I heard it on Nights with Alice Cooper on my local classic rock station while in the car, I decided to ask what the song was and then Captain Kirk'd brix.

    We can't be friends. Haha.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, HARMONIX, FOR THE BEATLES! Never thought I'd see the day, but I'm glad it's finally happening.

When I was in junior high one of my teachers would talk about how great the beatles were and I was like "whatever, stupid old people music"

Honestly, I didn't have an appreciation for music until Guitar Hero 1... it's because of that game I've learned how to play guitar, my musical collection has grown to encompass all eras of music and genres. Music has become my way of life. HMX changed my life.

And obviously, once I got more into my music, my stance on the beatles changed (from that of an idiot 13 year old that I was). best band ever.
    Missing in action:

    Enter Sandman
    Battery
    Paranoid
    Let There Be Rock
    Anyway You Want It
    Give it Away
    Spoonman

    Bring them home HMX!

I thought that The Beatles were a bunch of stupid pot smoking hippies. What I was 11. Then when I was 12 I was almost sleeping in the car, the radio was on. The song was singing about Strawberry fields, and where nothing is real. I loved the song, I even told myself I don't care who made this song, the band ROCKS!!!!! When the song was over I asked my parents who had made that song. They then said The Beatles. I was like "really"? I then later looked into them and they're my favorite band.

Actually, my story is similar to OPs. I once dissed the Beatles, saying that Yellow Submarine was stupid. Then, Ringo came to my house, punched me in the face, and left. I learned my lesson.

But seriously, I remember in 7th grade, my English teacher shows us a video of The Beatles playing Twist and Shout. I think it was a lesson on racism (it was written by a black group). I didn't even know that was the Beatles. I think that was the first time I saw a video of them.

It was last summer, June 2008. I had just turned 14 and was watching a documentary on Tom Petty. It showed a clip of The Beatles playing All My Loving on the Ed Sullivan show. I stopped the video so I could go online and listen to the whole thing. I'm a huge Beatles freak now, watching Anthology as I type this.
