Q: Can all 4 xbox360 headsets be used as mics?

I apologize if this has been asked already … but I couldn’t find the answer in any FAQ:

    HMX folks:
Q: Can all 4 xbox360 headsets (including wireless) be used as the microphones for The Beatles: Rock Band?

For the drummer to sing, a headset seems like a great way to go. It currently works great in RB2 as the single singer, but it requires an extra login (which is annoying if you want to play xbox-LIVE online, since it requires an extra gold account).

It would probably be more convenient from now on, however, to simply plug a headset into your instrument.
HMX, I love you. You introduced me to my favorite band, The Beatles. And now you're making a game for my first favorite, Green Day. Thank you so much

That's great for local play, AFAIK it doesn't work for xbox-Live play.

    Thumbs down

I'd lay serious odds that the answer is no.

The instrument you play is dictated by the controller you use. So I expect that you can use one headset plugged into that standard controller and two other USB or wireless (Lips) microphones as #2 and #3.

But you won't be able to sing from the drum controller any more than you'll be able to play a guitar track from the drum controller.

Don't believe me? Think about what happens during a tambourine/woodblock part: you can hit "A" (or "X" on PS3/2) in addition to tapping the microphone. Do you think the green pad will do the same thing, while you're playing the drums?

We'll know in a few weeks.

The microphones aren't dedicated to the instruments, but to the one vocalist controller. Plugging them into your instruments won't do you any good. I suppose you'll be able to use one connected to the controller.
