Rock Band and Instrument Licensing

One thing no one is really talking about is how Gibson guitars are very prominently featured in TB:RB, as well as other big name companies, for the first time. Guitar Hero was always Gibson (until that pesky law suit) and Rock Band was always Fender... it seems like The Beatles game is bringing a lot more brands onto the Rock Band side of the fence. I just thought that's interesting... unless I'm mistaken, you've never been able to play an SG in a RB game.

Well the lawsuit was about making the hardware but in the beatles rock band it is only in the game so they can't be sued unless Gibson is gonna be a dick about it.

I don't think they can be a dick about it now, they had to allow the SG being IN the game. I'm just wondering if this means, since the Beatles carries so much weight, if HMX would be able to have exclusive licensing for so many instruments (like they already did with fender), leaving the GH series with only their fake made up guitars.

Sucks to work for Activision right now. They are laying off like crazy, while harmonix is hiring
