Do I get a prize for being the first person to chart killswitch scratching in a song on RBN? Anyhoo, Lost in the Dusk, hooray!

EDIT: hahaha, and Buckethead styled nubbing, too. xD

This one's an awesome punk/screamo assault from this Lancaster, PA based band, and has some seriously fun charts for every instrument. Hope you enjoy!

Noble Robot, I've left some comments on the guitar chart on your video, but I hope you don't mind if I repost them here:

GUITAR COMMENTS (small letters mean HOPOs):
0:05 feels like there's a missing note hidden in that long note, maybe R-g-R-Y
    0:12 should be HO/PO chords
    0:14 sounds more like G-r-R-y
0:37 needs a Blue just before the Orange, with the orange being a HOPO
    0:39 Same as above
    0:57 Same
    0:59 Same
1:25 Yellow needs to HOPO into blue, and the first green sounds like a different note to the second
1:50 Needs a Blue before the Orange
    2:03 Same
    2:10 Same

I didn't have enough space to talk about the whole song on YT comments, but many of these problems are recurring when the musical pattern recurs. Sorry to be so harsh, but if I were playing that, I'd feel like I was missing out on some of the notes I was hearing.

This is coming from someone who enjoys playing blues on a real guitar, so I recognise some of the style elements that would make it fun to play, but are sadly missing.

Thanks for the feedback, for sure, I will take your notes into consideration during peer review, but you wrote them as if they were spelling errors and not your opinion.

For example, some of the "missing notes" you describe are smoothed over by choice, per the RBN spec. And the "first green sounds like a different note to the second" is because one is a muted note.

Again, thanks for taking the time to look it over, I'm sure you meant well. If you have other notes, feel free to PM me.

Some stuff with the drum chart:

-During the chorus and during the guitar solo, the drummer's keeping time on open hi-hat, not crash cymbal. It should be charted to either blue or yellow (and make sure you fix the drummer animation too).

-For some reason, you chart all of the crashes to two pads, even though as far as I can tell, the drummer is only hitting one crash cymbal each time. You should probably just chart them to green (unless I'm mistaken and he is hitting two crashes at some spots).

-You always chart snare flams as red+blue, when they should be charted as red+yellow.

-At about 1:04, there should be another hi-hat hit (on the + of 1).

-At about 1:21, I think that red+blue should just be a red. I'm not hearing a tom or anything else there, and it doesn't sound like a flam. It's possible that I just can't hear it though. As I said before though, the red+blue at about 1:22 should be red+yellow, since that's how HMX charts snare flams.

-That second yellow+green at 1:24 is just an open hi-hat hit, so it should be charted to blue. That first yellow+green should probably just be green, as I explained earlier.

-At about 1:55, that first blue after the red+green is a closed hi-hat hit, so it should just be yellow.

-That second green at about 1:56 is open hi-hat, so it should be blue. Then, the red+blue after it should be red+yellow, since it's closed hi-hat there.

-At 2:31, the rhythm in the fill seems slightly off. It seems like you added swing there, when the drummer isn't actually putting any swing in the fill. I'm not sure though.

-At 2:34, same thing as at 1:24.

-At 3:04, that first red is a flam, so it should be red+yellow.

-At about 3:06, that green is a open hi-hat, so it should be blue (or possibly yellow).

    ~

Also, listening to the guitar, I think I agree with Mushroom that those oranges would work better as blue to orange HOs. It sounds like the guitarist is doing hammer on or a bend, and I can't remember any song that HMX didn't chart HOs like that.

Sorry if this comes off as harsh, or it looks like I'm spell checking you, but these are the things I would say if I saw this song for peer review. Just trying to make it easier for once the open beta comes .
Rock Band needs some Genesis and Helmet.
