If I remember correctly, this wasn't going to be branded with Rock Band at all when it was announced. I suppose they (wisely) decided to add RB to the name to let fans of the game know who made it and give them an idea of what to expect.

Basically all of you are right. From all the gameplay sacrifices and castrations HMX went through to get The Beatles, they made sure that it is a Beatles game first and a Rock Band game second. Also, who would actually refer to the game as "Rock Band: The Beatles?" it's a mouthful. The Beatles: Rock Band flows so much more naturally and sounds way better.

People I know unfortunately call it Rock Band: The Beatles, even though The Beatles: Rock Band flows so much better. With my family, I just call it the Beatles game.

That hasn't stopped people (on this forum and elsewhere) from using "Rock Band: The Beatles" or "RB: The Beatles", "RB:TB" or some other incorrect variation.

But yeah, I definitely like the fact that the Beatles name is first and (on the logo) big.

I haven't seen more than one or two people call it Rock Band The Beatles. There are always going to be some people that can't figure out the name of a big game, roller coaster ride, movie, whatever. The huge, huge majority don't call it that, however.

As others have mentioned, it was originally a non-branded game, but the focus has always been on Beatles first.
