Other- Parliament. Heheh.
Y'all remind me of my grandsons but they like Ice Cube movies so I can't never speak to them again. Excuse me, I'ma get me some Kool-aid.
I'm more of a Parliament fan, but like most people it's hard for me to separate Parliament from Funkadelic. In fact, I might actually like Funkadelic best.
You're way heavy on the 70's, though. You need more 80's funk. I wouldn't vote for them, but someone might.I'd almost vote for Prince.
Does anyone chart anymore? le sigh.
All great artists, but I'll go with Tower of Power.![]()
I wish to be a magician of words!
I'm glad to see this list is getting attention. Good to know that people around here know their funk!![]()
To the center of the city in the night, waiting for you.
Funkadelic for me then Kool & The Gang
Some great choices though
"A culture's teachings, and most importantly, the nature of its people, achieve definition in conflict."
James Brown, aka The King of Funk.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.
There's strong arguments for a lot of these bands. However, my vote goes to James Brown (and the J.B.s) for their innovation, and legendary tightness. Plus, who doesn't like to hit it and quit it? Hot pants. Hyeeeoowww!

You read it. You can't unread it.
James Brown. But I enjoy every artist on that list.
