PS3 Save Files - Locked?

I couldn't find anything by searching, but I'd really like to know if anything has changed now with the Beatles release.

I'd love to be able to back up my PSN save file for when I visit a friend so that I don't have to tote my PS3 with me just to keep maintaining progress like I do with my PS3 for Rock Band 2. Has there been any progress made with this? Not that I would be considered a huge drop in the bucket, but it does impact my purchasing decision for the game.

I know it hasn't been released, but it is an important fact for me to find out. I used to be able to take my save file on the 360 memory unit to a friend's house. I just want the same feature for The Beatles: Rock Band. I know it is a lost cause for Rock Band 2 on PS3...

well, I was at a friends house for a marathon session of The Beatles Rock Band and had a blast. In about 4 hours we played all of the songs and earned him the day tripper trophy. Back to the theme of the thread though....

When all was said and done, I tried to copy the save file to a memory stick pro duo and what do you know
It worked!

I have not tried to restore it on a different ps3 yet, but the fact that I could back it up was an awesome fact in itself

It's not locked and copies to another PS3 just as you would expect. Successfully!
