BTW. how'd you find out it was a Schecter? As far as I know, it was just a generic strat model.
I have yet to test this myself, but apparently GH5 supports RB USB instruments (poorly, according to some lay-sources)... speaking specifically of the Wii versions, that is, which (up to and including GHSH) do not support any non-GH instruments.

As the for Schecter reference - it's not something that's ever been officially acknowledged, but the GH community seems fairly convinced that RedOctane quietly modelled their "Genericaster" after the bulk of Schecter's work (most of which are modified Stratocasters). The headstock matches, the additional cuts match - if there is another guitar that matches, then it has to be an even more obscure company than Schecter.

I don't know, I tried it on the Wii and it seemed to work great.

nicko68, if you're saying USB instrument controllers work well with GH5 then I trust you. So far, I've only read various accounts (both pro and con) from people I don't know from Adam. The one nagging issue that seems to remain is how reliably the RB2 cymbals are supported by GH5/Wii - it's a deal breaker for my wife (our default drummer).

    Try checking for updates again.

Bar that, hold down the PS symbol on your guitar, go to Controller Settings and make sure the Controller's player number is between 1 and 4.

Does the World Tour drum kit work equally perfectly? I've been worried that the mapping from GH pads to RB pads will make for some awkward drumming.

I'll be perfectly honest... I haven't tried the GHWT drums in TBRB (yet), and I won't be able to until at least past midnight tonight. Our reality is that I am lastly a drummer around here; my wife and her co-worker are the primary drummers in our circle of friends and they prefer the RB2 kit to the GHWT kit.

Curiosity will get the better of me, so I'll test it tonight after work. Considering the GH guitars work better in TBRB than in RB2, I can only imagine the same is true for the GHWT drums. At the very least, RB2 makes good use of the GHWT drums by mapping both the blue pad and the orange cymbal to RB blue.

The Guitar from Guitar Hero World Tour does work with Rock Band 2 and The Beatles: Rock Band for PS3. It is working now, the connection from the body to the neck of the guitar was not making contact but we played with it, and it is working now! Yeah!

Note: My mic and drums from Rock Band 2 are also working with Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3.
