Beatles Rock Band makes me wanna cry with tears of joy.
presentation is absolutely gorgeous, sound is stunning and I like the fact that there are no bre's/fills in the game, which means that we are left with uninterrupted flow of the songs.
everything just comes together () so perfectly.
the cutscenes are brilliant and executed flawlessly.
10/10, couldn't be happier and cannot wait for future albums to come out(already bought myself $150 worth of microsoft points so I'm all set, just gotta stay patient, I buy all rockband dlc).

"Just thought I'd mention that it's cool to see a Paper Mario fan who also appreciates death metal. Great job!"
I was so bored waiting for the interminable credits to end in Story mode so I could play the one Encore song. I just don't care what the names are of the babies born during the making of the game, who is in marketing at MTV, and about pretty much anyone working directly for EA (and others too, but these are the ones I can remember groaning at and thinking, oh no -- no more please!) And the individual song credits? Did the Beatles actually perform the songs in a game named for them? What a revelation! I wanted to skip or at least be able to fast forward through the whole 3 hours of credits. Okay, really maybe 10 minutes, but that's still excessive. I know most of these people worked hard but so do I.
Otherwise, the game isn't too bad and I'm not a Beatles fan. I bought it because lots of times I don't like the music chosen for the regular Rock Band or the similar competitors' games and my family loves the band.
Sorry for the heavy sarcasm but little sleep and working 10 hours of overtime in a day will do that.

See the Fab 3??? for my comments on the game.....
I primarily bought the game because my wife is a Beatles fan. So the price wasn't an issue at that point. But... if I were buying it for myself. I agree with a few other posts. 60 bucks for 45 songs a little rough.
On to some other things I liked and disliked.
First .. I really like the extra stuff. The fan club Christmas album was just too cool. The other easter eggs / unlockables are really neat.
One thing I didn't care for is the lack of the drum fills ... what happen to the "do anything you want as long as you hit the green one" areas? This was my wife's favorite part of the game. We are on a second set of drums (lol).
I did like the experience of learning some things about the Beatles while playing the game.. the filler in between career stages is really neat.
I don't think the "Just like any other rhythm game" argument applies .. because they are all rhythm games.
Something I would have liked to see was a player creation mode.. where you can make yourself and be ONE of the beatles.
All in all I'm glad I got the game, but mostly because it made my wife happy and not because it's a really good game.
After playing it continuously since the release, and reading all these reviews...even from the GH folks who would have hated ANYTHING that HMX put out...here is MY opinion and what not:
1. This is the BEST tribute anyone could ever have done to honor the best band the world has known. IF the tech had been around at the time the band was active, and they were going to do a video game about themselves, I really believe THIS is what they would have done. TB:RB is a true work of art. Period.
2. This game was about the Beatles. If you came looking for anything else, you are just plain dumb and wasted your money. Tough luck. Also, as for exporting the songs to RB2, I am sure Apple had a say in that. Why buy TB:RB if you can just load the songs into RB2? You know as well as I someone would figure a way to hack the songs and Apple would lose money. I totally understand that decision. Dont like it, but I understand it.
3. Apple just does NOT give away their stuff. You bet your back side that HMX paid dearly for the right to do this game. THAT is why there is only 45 songs. We get TWO albums before Christmas. Hang in there.
Having said that, I DO have a few things I can criticize:
1. The price on the bundle was completely, totally, (insert your own) OUTRAGOUS! It has become a joke--not only on-line, but even at the game stores, BB, etc etc. In fact, some are even starting to say its a conspiracy to empty the stock of RB2 kits HMX has to prepare for RB3!! COME ON HMX $249 for stuff that does NOT work any better than what we have?? I see this dropping to $189 by Xmas because they dont sell enough.
2. I agree with others, the blue notes look a lot like the energy notes. Need to make them a darker blue.
3. It has been said that DLC can NOT be added to the story mode. BAD CHOICE. Give us the option to do that HMX. PLEASE. It deffinately would make the story mode longer and more enjoyable.
4. While we are on DLC, bring out some of the earlier stuff NOW. Let us have more while waiting for the later albums.
OK, off my high horse. My grandson came over. He loved the dreamscapes. Was playing "here comes the sun" said "I didnt know the Beatles did that" So, he picked up a mic and got 4 stars on medium first time around! He is 11!!!! HMX made a new Beatles fan. He's been going around singing "I am the Walrus" all day now!!!!! Also, got 2 families coming over to do a Beatles night! Shoot, wish I had some DLC........gonna have to get some more mics to!
Best $60 I ever spent!
I'm just going to go along with what everyone above has said.
This game is great - the presentation is excellent, in terms of attention to detail particularly. No rhythm game has accurately animated the drummer before. While there's a couple of weak animations of Ringo in this game, it's far better than any other. Also, the inclusion of someone playing the keyboard lines (when they're there) are another example of the level of detail Harmonix went to in order to make this game.
My one irk with the game is based on the fudging of including I Want You (She's So Heavy) on the rooftop. It's an Abbey Road song. It doesn't make sense. And it's not fun to play due to its length and repetitivity. Any other Beatles song, bar Revolution 9 and Piggies, would have been more fun. That said, more earlier stuff (songs the Beatles actually performed live, rather than songs they COULD have performed live - eg, Taxman) would be well appreciated. Omission of tracks like Help! and Hey Jude will irritate the casual player, but because I'm sure they will come to DLC at one point, I forgive Harmonix.
The implementation of harmonies, too, makes it non-threatening. If they'd forced each microphone to a harmony type, then the game would have frustrated most players. However, leaving harmonies as an option, rather than a requirement, allows casual players to sing to the melody, while the more RB/Beatles fanatics harmonize where necessary. On a personal note, my Mum hasn't sang in a rhythm/music game EVER, and The Beatles Rock Band had her singing along while I was playing - I gave her the second microphone and she absolutely loved it.
Overall, I'll give it a 95 out of 100, as a fan of the Beatles. If you are a casual listener it's still a 90.
DO WANT moar Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, The B-52's
I couple of things I left out of my past rant:
I LIKE the "no drum fills" in this game. I never really liked this in RB, and the "two cymbal" thing in GH was really stupid. I realize some enjoyed the fills, so maybe HMX could make this an option in RB3? That would be nice. Adding the big green note would be like tilting the guitar. More sensible.
Having NO FAIL on the song page was great to! No leaving the set to return to options is niceeeeeee. Put it in RB3.
QUESTION: I usually play on Medium/Hard guitar....medium drums. I noticed some 3 note chords!!!!! Is this the first time in a Rock Band game?
ive been playing rock band since the day it was released. ive gone threw so many drum sets that i decided to get a real drum set. this game has, with out a doubt, helped me with learning how to beat on the cans. i put the game on no fail and im set. My boss is an expert drummer, and ive shown him the game and how i play along with it. lets just say he was floored at how much ive learnd in 6 months. i can play rise against songs without looking at most of the game. i still have to glance up at the screen just to make sure im on the right part to play.
i bought the beatles game the day it came out, and ive played it once since. dont get me wrong, the game is a great game if you want to play with the drum controler. but, since i dont use that, ive found myself listening to alot of clicks and clacks becuase im not hitting the marks. and trust me its no fun to try to play along with a song and all you hear is click click clack click clack clack clack (i think you got the point).i can understand if you hit the drum and its not at the right time, it makes a click noise but to not hit the drum at all and it still does it, that doesnt make any sense. if there is someway to make an update for the game so when you put it on no fail mode its stops clickin and clackin, that would be awsome. i love the beatles and im dying to play the game but i cant take the noise.
i hope that someone reads this from the company. i dont know how to send this to anyone there. that is why im posting it in the reviews. im crossing my fingers that there is update for this problem soon (if its possible).......one more thing how about some pink floyd. but please no more clicks and clacks.
