Also, in response to "the customer is always right" I believe the following article is in order.

By the way, the thread she locked was started by someone named JERKINATOR for the express purpose of causing antagonism and strife. If you want to side with that line of behavior, that's on you.

Gonna quote my wife's FB status the night I plugged in TB:RB for the first time:

is utterly unprepared for how absorbing Beatles Rock Band is!
That was two days ago, after jumping right into Story and playing through four sets straight. She was humming Beatles songs all day yesterday, still.

    The opening cinematic was stunning.

This is the kind of experience that I bought a console for.

The only critical feedback I would offer so far is to agree that the note tracks are a touch too transparent on the more dynamic backgrounds and the tracks need a touch more blank space between when the online ID is removed and when the notes start streaming. In a few cases it's a touch too sudden.

I just bought the game for the Wii with the peripherals last month, I guess I was lucky to find them, seems like they were the last ones in the entire city. I really had to search for them though. Took me two weeks to track down the Limited Edition set.

The game is amazing graphically, very well done. It is being played by 3 generations of family and friends and really made our last family birthday party fun. The kids love it, the parents are not concerned about the lyrics or graphics and the grandparents are heading down memory lane. It feels great sharing my love of the Beatles with my kids while also showing my parents how their favourite band still lives on in new ways.

I find the level of difficulty is just right at the lowest two levels for players who have never owned a RB or GH game, and usually do not play video games at all. The youngsters who we bought the Wii for do not have the skills to really play well even on easy, but they are improving and oddly their best role is as singers, especially on high energy songs like Twist and Shout.

Of course I have my complaints too, but they are perhaps knit picky.

The game is not long enough. I accept that limiting the venues had merit and kept costs down, but the number of songs should have been much higher, especially of the earlier work like Help, Roll Over Beethoven, Long Tall Sally, and Dizzy Miss Lizzy. 60 songs instead of 45 would have been perfect in my mind.

The instruments are gorgeous, just too hard to get a hold of (for the Wii anyway). I realize they were limited editions, but at least where I live it is impossible to get any kind of Wii guitar that is compatible with TBRB. Without instruments, and I mean of any kind, it is very hard to play the game. So I can see the lack of peripherals really killing sales of the game.

Some of the songs seem to start too fast to see the first note(s) coming down. That is annoying. As is the difficulty that Beatlemania adds to seeing the notes. This seems to be more true for some songs than others, and especially if playing the base and being in the groove on top of everything else.

Drum play for the kids could have included an option for automated base drum pedal. Seems my kids just lack the rhythm to use the drum sticks AND their foot at the same time, making them a little more frustrated than they need to be.

I also wish a way were found to include another line for a second guitar. On my TV there is more than enough room along side the bass and drums for two guitar streams. Even if the second stream repeated the line for the lead guitar and split the solos, it would give the feeling of a four piece band and could count towards the unison bonus and total score.

Finally I have to comment on the DLC. I did not buy the game even knowing there was any DLC available so I was very happy to discover the additional songs. That said, I of course hope for many more songs to be available. Especially I hope for some of the earlier songs like the ones I mentioned above.

Otherwise I would recommend this to anyone as a family game, or for older gamers like me (wrong side of 40). My kids love it too and are constantly bugging Dad to play and my wife loves to watch the three of us spending time together.

Quite possibly the most fun playing a video game I have ever had.

    The Beatles are awesome.....the game...ehhh...so-so.

i was looking foward to play, the graphics are nice and the music is awesome, but its too repetitive and boring even on hard when it comes to the drums.

I understand the music is old and things were different, but I didnt feel the challenge with this game, especially since the notes are just about the same on all the tracks and is so short, making it difficult to score high points yet too easy to catch the 5 stars.

    =)

The game is great.10/10. Its my favourtie game. Even with no new dlc and even if there isn't much lasting appeal. Combining the best band of all time with video games =10/10

I agree the game is great.

the story mode is quite short which means unlike rb2 you don't feel as if it is a never-ending game.

having all the songs available in quickplay is a great advantage as you don't have to complete the story if you don't want to (which i think needs to be encorperated into all future rock band games).

i think the videos are superb and you can appreciate them especially when playing vocals.

the online mode allows you to play with other beatles fans which is a great plus point as you can enjoy playing as a group which i think takes the game to another level as you don't need anyone else in your living room to take on the band leaderboards.

the dlc is also great. ive downloaded all of it as the beatles are a superb band and there are so many great songs that aren't in the game. I do think there should be more of it though! i can understand why some of the really famous songs may be very expensive to make e.g let it be but there are lots of other songs that are great that could be made such as i've just seen a face.

i do believe though that this game is the best of the rock band series. great choice of band. 10/10. well done harmonix! all you need to make now is an oasis rock band!
