I've also done this multiple times with 100% and have tried using Beatlemania at various points. My high score is 36,605 and still no gold stars. I think the best bet is to use Beatlemania where the hammer-offs are, as it's the only time in the song where you're getting more notes than usual. I'm never going to be able to get this on any other instrument, so any help with a necessary score would be awesome.

It's an unfortunate glitch, that gold stars are not actually possible on bass, I believe.

Your best bet is vocals, if you're looking for gold stars on the song.

I seem to remember you have to save up your overdrive and use it during the "..baby buys her things you know, he buys her diamond rings" parts. This is for guitar, btw.

i got it on vocal, without even trying, however i'm not good on the other instruments, can only handle some songs on hard for guitar/bass drums is out o the question
