I think this was probably done because the overall skill level of the game on guitar is a bit lower than for RB2, so the only way you can add challenge and make it difficult to 'complete' the game is to make the GS cutoffs very high.

I'm actually digging having to work harder to get gold stars. In RB1/2 you know pretty much once you've FC'd a song you get gold stars. Now, It's more of a challenge.

That being said you should have seen my face the the first time I saw 100% on my screen and it wasn't next to gold stars. lol

yeah, drums don't seem to have a problem GSing...I got FC on 4 songs, and GS on at least 10 (maybe.......i'll count them tonight, and I'm not the greatest RB drummer out there)

Agree'd, and most vocal songs haven't been that hard for me either.

I FC'd Yellow Submarine and Here Comes the Sun on Expert bass and only got 5 stars, but i got i think 97% on While My Guitar Gently Weeps and got gold stars from the bonus points from the second solo. It's quite unsettling knowing that there are 3 trophies that require me to get gold stars and I have to play on guitar, which i am nowhere near as good as I am on bass.

I don't think they're too high, we're just a bit fresh to them.

I got 4 GS on my first run through every song on Bass (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Octopus' Garden, Ticket to Ride, and The End)

Definitely seems tougher...I don't like. I FC'd like 3 songs in a row on bass and didn't get GS's on any of them. I didn't think my deploys for Beatlemania were that bad either. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so.

I agree completely, I've gotten very few GS (on vocals) by myself. Semi-unrelated: My I Me Mine vocal GS made me smile I FC'd the song, and the stars turned gold just as the last note ended.

Does anybody had gold stars on "I feel Fine" already?

I've been tried to do that song on guitar, bass, bass-guitar and it seems immposible to do it!!!!!
