can never accept invites from Maccasis and I tried once or twice from you and couldn't

we can try again sometime and if necessary I'll take your advice and change around some router settings, but I haven't had trouble connecting with anyone else

I think the best way to test this is by following my suggestions as to how to setup your router for online play (listed in a recent post). With your SPI firewall enabled, send an invite or try to accept an invite, if you join the session successfully then you're good. If you are unable to join the session, disable your SPI firewall and try again. I know my router settings are right, but I'm not saying yours are wrong either, ok? coyotedog@cox.net

I gave up trying to connect with other players yesterday and decided to play more in the "story" mode, unlocking chapters, etc. I'm happy to finally get a silver icon and I'm looking forward to getting better day by day (week by week).

Edit: I was online tonight with my SPI firewall enabled and I was not able to join any sessions. So, if you are having problems joining sessions, check your router settings and be sure to disable the SPI firewall.

Lately I'm having mixed feelings about online play.

Sometimes when I do connect with someone else, they don't have any of the DLC? The future of TB:RB may depend on DLC sales?

Last night I searched for players and was able to fine a drummer and bass with very high scores (I was playing guitar on medium). We played one song and then I was kicked out? I think they were on hard or expert, don't remember? Anyhow... ONE SONG and poof, I'm out of there!

It's hard enough finding and making new online friends who are learning how to play the instruments and are at the lower easy/medium levels. It's not fun getting kicked out when you're trying your best to play the game. High or low scores, expert on everything or new to everything... or somewhere in between, I just want to have fun and would appreciate not being kicked out just because I may cause damage to your scoreboard ratings or prevent you and/or your band from getting a better score?

Lastly is the issue with invites. I send an invite and the other person can't join or they send the invite and I can't join? I realize this is just a technical issue with a router setup, but it gets frustrating especially when you really want to play with them

I know it's difficult at times to inform your online friends that you are online, ready to play. Unless you get an email alert that a message was posted to this forum, but that's not very reliable. Maccasis and I communicate by text messages, but I'm not sure I want to share that means of communication with everyone here? The wii system offers email communication. Maybe us Wii users should communicate that way so when you turn on the Wii, you can send email to your friends before starting TB:RB game? When the Wii is on standby, the blue light (where the CD goes in) flashes so you know you have an email. Wouldn't this be another good way of communicating? Why don't Wii give it a try; my Wii email address is w2302126542804043@wii.com I would include your forum ID and online game screen name in your email message, my game screen name is WileCoyote. You can save all of this in your Wii address book!

And for those of you who prefer to play online, if you have yet to do so, PLEASE purchase the DLC! By the way, I have a Wii RB2 drum set for sale in good working condition if anybody's interested? Send me a message

I waited about 5 minutes to see if you'd accept my invite and I assume you were either busy or unable to connect

I ended up hooking up with someone else and all the guitar spots were filled up when I got your invite, so I didn't get a chance to see if I'd be able to join your session

but we'll get together sometime I'm sure


anyone else wanna play today?

I need to complete the chapter challenges with 5 stars on each song - I've completed the first two chapters on my own - anyone want to help me with chapters 3-8? (at least I think there are 8)

if not I'll just do them myself, but I just thought I'd offer since it gets you the remaining photos for the accomplishment

I was in the middle of a song when I received your invite and by the time I accepted it, your invite had expired. Then I sent you an invite, but by that time you were in a session.

I was playing drums when you invited me, then switch to guitar for a few songs, then signed off.

Like I suggested in another post, maybe Wii email might help here... just a thought?

wii email seems like it might be slow and tedious without a keyboard

for me it's easier to just message me on here if you want to play - unless your computer is just too far away from the game or something

or if I see you on I'll just wait for ya

either way I'm sure we'll hook up sometime

if you wanna do some chapter challenges with me we could you can still get 5 stars playing on medium I think, just not gold stars - but I'm just looking for 5 stars. I might just do it by myself since I'm sure you've probably already done them - I'm already done with the first two chapters!

now I gotta figure out how to get 100% on helter skelter on drums I think that's going to be the biggest obstacle in my quest to get the special rainbow icon

i need to complete those chapter challenges as well although ive already got gold stars on the first 4 i think. it would be awesome if we could get a full band going on them though
