We got called in from recess in grade 3 and I didn't really understand what was going on until I got home because my mom had CNN on tv and I realized how terrible this was.

i don't mean to be a smart ass, though i'm sure i'll come off as one. technically, no one is really innocent if they're religious, considering almost EVERYTHING is a sin.

Everybody is also forgiven (assuming we ask for that forgiveness), so in no uncertain terms we are still "innocent".

Sadness and empathy being the abstract thaught.

    I can understand empathy,
    But sadness serves no purpose.

I was in college going to class at OU and there was a huge group of students gathered around one of the large TVs in one of the food court areas.

Without sadness everybody would be a self-righteous *******, because without sadness you can't have remorse, so without sadness you can have no empathy.

thing i wont ever forget is the people jumping out of the towers. the sense of desperation that must have been going on in their mind is something i cant fathom.

at the time i was 20 so i was pretty well aware of what was going on. here in the chi, the sears tower was eventually evacuated as speculation ran rampant about it being a possible target as well. crazy freakin day.

    You, my friend,
    Are thinking of guilt.

And empathy is it's own emotion.. Pity, compassion, sympathy.
Whatever you want to call it.
