    (Vocals) Why is "static" mode...

    ... you know... not STATIC!?

In RB2, scrolling meant the lyrics and the pitch lines would scroll together in unison, and 'static' meant the lyrics and the pitch stayed stationary on the screen. I preferred this method, because it enables you to see the entire phrase at once.

Now in RB:B, the only thing that's "static" are the words! The pitch line continues to scroll. =(

Am I missing something? Is there any way to view a stationary pitch line covering one phrase at a time? If not, that's a pretty massive oversight - something I hope they can get fixed.

Haven't checked that out, but sounds more up my alley than the old static.

Clearly they should have had the old static as well.

Perhaps it has something to do with the way the harmonies interact? I don't know...I haven't been able to get anyone to sing with me (and they don't let me sing).

That's a valid point. I would still hope for an actual "static" mode where a continued pitch would carry over and connect from the right side of a still frame to the left side of the next frame. Lots of the faster songs in RB2 would do that.

I ABSOLUTELY love the way TB:RB did the static lyrics. I hated having to play static lyrics due to word blur and not having my pitch lines move. The way TB:RB does it is excellent, I don't think the harmonies could be done if they didn't scroll the pitch lines.

I like the new way much better - In RB2, I often miss the first word/note of a phrase when using static vocals.

I understand that some of you like the new way, and that's great. I'm just questioning why "static" doesn't really mean static anymore.

Also not saying they should change it back to the old way... just give us a patch where we have the option to leave the pitch lines stationary like they used to be.

I see what you are talking about, but I dont see how they could have done it the old way with the Harmonies.

I think it is the Old Way, that had to be updated for Harmonies.
