I agree 100%. That's my favorite part about these games: getting kids into great music that they've probably never heard before.

1000+ songs... Expert everything except keys or pro guitar/bass.

It's been a long run, but it's been fun.

    I agree.

It's nice that they're seeding genuine classics in amongst the modern kiddie pop....not only appeals to Mom 'n' Dad, but, as you say, teaches a new generation about older rock.

I just dont think this is a bright of an idea. Especially when all the Cobain stuff flying around lately. Though I don't think Iggy Pop would sue if he himself signed to be in the game.

He did, according to a Rolling Stone/Entertainment Weekly/? (I can't remember which magazine it was in) interview that came out last month where Iggy mentioned that he was about to become lego-ized. This was about a week or so before Wired leaked The Passenger as a song in LRB.

The fact that Iggy Pop is still alive and consented to use of his image makes this a lot different than the Cobain playable character. Also the fact that it's a LEGO representation of him rather than "just him" as someone else stated makes it different. Also, who is to say that he is a playable character outside of his own songs? Having an Iggy Pop LEGO figurine singing 'Lust for Life' is a lot different than having a 'lifelike'/'realistic' representation of Iggy Pop singing 'Bring Me to Life.'

Am I the only one baffled by the amount of sex appeal oozing out of an old man made of Lego bits?

    That is freaking weird.

I don't think it is ACTUALLY Iggy Pop.

    Just a Lego look-a-like.

There are MANY look-a-likes already in Rock Band 2. The guy that looks like Eddie Vedder, Kurt Cobain, etc.

Edit: But I guess I'm wrong.
