    Something Funny About Super-Speed Mode

I turned on super speed mode for the first time and I paused it and it looked as though the menu were moving up on the screen. Haha...it was weird...

Has this happened to anyone else?
Life is very short and there is no time for fussing and fighting my friend.

    It's called the Tetris Effect.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris_effect

"They might also see images of falling Tetris shapes at the edges of their visual fields or when they close their eyes. In this sense, the Tetris effect is a form of hallucination."

Your brain is not used to the moving speed and is playing with your eyes. Most of Rock Band/Guitar Hero players get that when they start.

Edit: Also, we all get Highway hypnosis.

That's the state in which you play the game 'automatically'. "In this state the driver's conscious mind is apparently fully focused elsewhere, with seemingly direct processing of the masses of information needed". I get that a lot.

I think it is none of those. I don't remember what it is called though.

No, it's not either of those here. What's happening is that his eyes/brain are adjusting to the fast scrolling, and gradually registering that as "normal," so when the scolling abruptly stops, the brain interprets that motionlessness as movement in the opposite direction

    found it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_aftereffect
also known as the waterfall effect
