How does the star scoring on this game work?

when you get enough points for a star the star will be filled up in the left corner. Each star has a point cutoff and increases with more band mates and or difficulty, so say for 5 stars you need 60,000 points on expert solo guitar. If you play with a full band and with harmonies you'll need around 400k or more that is if they are all on expert. The game has a preset for any set, so like easy vocals, easy drums, expert guitar and hard bass could be like 300k. Gold stars, from what i remember hearing, are 1/3 of the 5 star cutoff but i think that was rb2 and only rb2.

Its all to do with points , the more points you have the higher number of stars.

Each note you hit will give you points , the more notes in a row you hit correctly will give you get a note streak which will give you more points for each note.

You also need to use Beatle Mania which will double your streak until the bar is emptied.

Its also possible to gold star songs , but you will need to be playing on expert and need a perfect run of the song using Beatle Mania in good places.

If you are playing in a band then everyone in your band will need to be playing well.
