1. RBN has its own separate designation, as it's a platform independent of the primary RB platform.
2. As a consequence, DLC can be played in RB1 or RB2; RBN material can only be played in RB2.

The problem is XNA and Sony's lack of an equivalent. Sure the OP is miffed that they didn't wait for PS3 to bring out similar tools and accusing HMX of selling out, but why should HMX wait for PS3? To let Guitar Hero catch up? They are a business, and their competitors are always on their heels. Waiting for PS3 to catch up before releasing RBN would be a huge mistake, since by then it'll be old hat.
So whinge if you want, but don't expect HMX to listen. They've got their own interests to consider.
Sony has no such platform for the PS3. Neither does Nintendo.
This isn't about discrimination. This is about working with the tools that already exist.
