I'm actually convinced he was being extremely sarcastic. The lyrics for "Cave In" are about as creative as saying "let's make like a tree and leave," and the lyrics for "Vanilla Twilight" (along with the song name) sound like the beginning of a poem written by a 13-year-old girl.

Only someone who hasn't listened to any other music beyond what they're fed to by the radio could possibly mistake those for "creative," and even then it's a bit of a stretch.

I'm getting more and more annoyed by Owl City too, because it seems as though now I can't listen to Owls without someone confusing the two bands.

but however, have you heard his ambient project Port Blue? I respect him for that.. listening to Port Blue makes me think that this whole Owl City thing might be a parody or a day job

I can't stand Death Cab. The only thing I know about Owl City is that they helped Relient K with a song on their last album. I'll probably eventually listen to them.

PLEASE NOBODY TAKE OFFENSE to this comment for this is MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION. I like Owl City and Creed more than Death Cab for Cutie and Pearl Jam but, I do like Death Cab for Cutie and Pearl Jam very much.
