    Smile Abbey Road Question

My son and I love playing Rock Band Beatles and are anxiously awaiting the album releases starting on Oct. 20. I wasn't aware of the songs on Abbey Road, so I just discovered that 5 of the songs on the album are on the game disc. Is there a reason that they would release an album for which half of the songs would be redundant? I hope the answer is just that I am uninformed. I don't mind insults if the result is that I AM wrong and the album release is more than 5 new songs. Thanks in advance for your responses.

An album release just means they are releasing the rest of the tracks that you don't already have. It's the same way album releases have been done for RB in the past (Boston, Moving Pictures, Ten).

You'll be buying the remaining 11 songs that weren't included in the game. Likewise with the 8 unreleased tracks from Sgt. Peppers, and the 11 that we're still waiting for on Rubber Soul.

Damn, December cannot come fast enough!

They will only be releasing the remaining songs from Abbey Road that were not originally on the disc :-)

    Smile Thanks for the Answers

Thanks for all the answers. I am old Rock Band player, 61, so playing the Beatles is really awesome for me. I was there to see those screaming girls at Red Rocks on August 26, 1964. This was a lot better. In those days, you could never actually hear their songs, just screaming for the whole concert. I can't wait for additional content!!!

Nice to hear from someone who was "there!" Rest assured, you're not the only older player here...in fact, check out the "Who's the Oldest Buyer" thread (I'm 51 myself). I love the way this game is uniting Beatles fans of all ages!

Wow, you are so lucky!! My family grew up with the music of The Beatles, but nobody ever attended one of their shows. I'm 25, and I've been a beatle fan since the crib.

My dad hasn't seen the Beatles live, but his brother did and he couldn;t even hear the music because of all the screaming. :/

Also if you buy the album the medley, starting with "You Never Give me Your Money" through "The End" (and possibly including "Her Majesty") will be available as on full track as well as individually.
