I was 4 and watched them on the Ed Sullivan Show back in '64 with the whole family...Mom and Dad, two older brothers, older and younger sisters. I suppose Pop could've changed the channel, but he didn't....Thanks Pop!

well my father has all of their albums so I have known them since I've been alive. Still my 2nd favorite band to this day.
So, when I was 11years old I've heard and saw 'Help' on Belgium national TV, I felt a commitmend with that group So I askes my mother if she knew them... She told me that that were the Beatles. I started listening to that group and even though the students from my age made fun with me cause I listened to a popband "that wasn't from our time "I kept loving the Beatles. I used buckets to play the drums :-) :-) OOOh boy I had some trouble with my dad because of that... lol
I bought the Red and Blue album when I was 12 years old and I still listen to those tracks. I will never stop listen and loving the music of The Fab Four, next year I will visit Liverpool , a dream coming trough.
" With a little help from my friends"

My dad introduced to The Beatles but when TB:RB came out got me listening to them.
Over the last decade or so, I would hear a Beatles song on classic rock radio and like it, but at that point it was more of a "I like these songs but I haven't gotten into the band too much."
Then the movie Across the Universe came out, and I fell in love with the music. It certainly helped that the actors in the movie had incredible singing voices, and that the band were able to refresh the sound with a more modern set of instruments.
The day after I saw the movie I bought the Beatles 1 album, then eventually the entire discography. Even now, I'll listen to both the original Beatles hits and the AtU soundtrack side by side.
The one who first introduced me to The Beatles is my mother.
When I was growing up, we used to have a record player in our dining room. My mother was the only one who used it and she didn't do so often. But when she did, it was usually a Beatles' album spinning around. I remember that I used to like watching the record spin because I thought it was funny there was a big apple on it. I always wondered what the apple was supposed to represent but I wouldn't find out until years later.
I have a few vague memories of asking her why she liked The Beatles and random questions like if they were still around. She told me that John Lennon died and that the others still made music. I know she also loved Harrison's solo work and I remember her introducing me to his music by saying he was with the Beatles. Even though she gave me all this information, it didn't mean that much to me because that was her music. For some reason, when I was a kid I always equated anything that my parents liked to being "adult stuff" that wouldn't entertain me. And I did so even though I always loved hearing the music coming from that old record player.
As the years went on I heard more and more Beatles' songs as well as learned a bit more about the group. I still wouldn't say I ever became a fan, but I enjoyed their music all the same. When Rock Band came out I told my mother about it and she thought it was interesting but not something she would play because she's not a gaming person. This past summer when I went home, she got to see Rock Band in action for the first time and she enjoyed watching me play. I told her she should sing the songs she knows but she didn't want to. When I told her there would be a Beatles version coming out, she said, "Now that I could sing."
Soon I had to leave and come back to Japan where I live now. I finally got around to ordering the game and told my mother about it on the phone. I read off the song list to hear and delighted at hearing her talk about how much she liked the songs. It was great to hear the enthusiasm in her voice. I can't remember the last time she talked about something that she was so passionate about. Their music means so much to her as it played a big part in her life. I hoped that I would have that same kind of enthusiasm when I finally got my hands on the disc.
Well, the game showed up today and I'm simply blown away. I'm loving every minute of it but it's a little bittersweet. As I play the songs, I can't help but think, "Mom would love to see this." "She would love to play this song." "I wonder what she'd think of that." I want to share it with her so badly but I won't get the chance for almost another year. It really hit home about how tough it is being so far away from her. But now I can look forward to next summer when I can finally go home again. This time I'll have The Beatles: Rock Band with me. I want to see her face light up like a child as she relives the joy from her youth. And we'll be able to enjoy it together as a new Beatles fan and a veteran. For someone who has done all she can to bring me happiness, she deserves a little bit in return.
I can't wait to complete the circle from her teaching me about the band as I watched that record spin all those years ago to me teaching her about the game while we perform our own Beatles concert.

My mom, she's a huge Beatles fan ♥ She used to listen Abbey Road when I was on her belly, so sweet :B I grew up with all their songs playing on every radio we owned I was just a baby *cries* when I found out John was dead I cried, I'll never get to see them live together, I was born 2 years after he was murdered.
They are one of my favourite bands.
Knowladge speaks, but wisdom listens.
For me it started when John Lennon was killed. I was ten years old and didn't know much about the Beatles at the time. I knew who they were, but I wasn't really a fan. I remember seeing the story in the news when John Lennon was shot, and I asked my father who he was. He explained the situation to me and together we began listening to some of the music. For me it sparked a life long love of The Beatles music and story. For him it rekindled his love of the music from his past, which has endured to this day. I am very happy to have the opportunity to play TB:RB with my father, as well as my eight year old son. I am also happy to have sparked a great interest in The Beatles with my boy as well. The torch has been passed, and a new generation influenced.
Thanks Dad
I actually started to know about The Beatles from when I was really young. I think I was 1 or 2. My father was a very big Beatles fan so he started playing the Please Please Me cassette. Of course I do not have any memories of this moment but my father saw that I liked that music and he let me listen to that music again and again and again.
This was actually the first moment that I liked the Beatles.
But for some reason, I started to not appreciate so much The Beatles music until I nearly forgot them.
But when I was 12, I started to have a strange 'hunger' for The Beatles music and from then I have become a very die hard Beatles fan.
When I heard about the game I told to my parents about it and they said OK but I would take only 1 instrument per half-semester.
For now I have the bass and I am getting ready to get the microphone.
My mom was a huge Beatles fan.
She was listening to them while pregnant with me and as far as I can remember, I knew every song by fetal memory. We had all their albums on vinyl as well as 8-track tapes.
My cousin also worked for Capitol Records and he would always come over with a free Beatles album for the family.
My mother's favourite album was Rubber Soul and her favourite song was Michelle. Mine was The White Album. That was such a fun album to listen and sing along to as a kid.
I remember when Beatlemania, the stage show, came around to the O'Keefe Centre in Toronto. It was the late 70's and I sold lemonade and my brother's Styx albums to get myself a ticket. Boy was he pissed. That was the first concert I ever went to.
I remember my sister buying a Beatles paperback lyric book. It was the size of a novel and had every Beatles song in it. I would take it on road trips to Florida and read it from front to back.
As I grew older I've grown to like practically every genre of music out there. From Classical to Hip Hop to Nu Metal but the Beatles have always been my introduction and foundation to music.
All I can say is thank you to my mom and now to Harmonix. It has been such a joy to see them and their music re-created in such a beautiful and fun music game.
