Hello fellow rockers,
My name's Jon and I'm quite interested in RBN. I've followed rhythm titles for a very long time and have always dreamed of the opportunity to get my music into these games. Guitar Hero struck first with their (crappy) version of a studio, and I knew it was only a matter of time before Rock Band would rebuttal with something better. I did however take the time to delve into GH's studio and despite how limiting it was, I managed to move quickly up the charts eventually having 4 out of 5 songs make it to the #1 spot at one point or another in their career of living on the service as well as breaking into the top 5 artists. I eventually stopped after my fifth because the amount of time needed to make a decent song outweighed the fact that the song still sounded like crap, and it was fake!
I've signed up for the beta for RBN, and I haven't heard anything back. I'm a home recording musician, I play guitar and bass, I sing, and then I'll track other things like drums and other textures over top. I'm the perfect combo of gamer and musician and I believe I'm just the type of person Harmonix had in mind when they created this service. I know how to track things to create a solid playing experience and I'm currently writing songs based just around this new service. Only thing that's wrong is it seems like others are getting to use the service and I am not. I'm really ready to start and I'd love to know how I can get into this amazing opportunity. So...how do I do it?
Thanks for the advice in advance!
