And how would they have made the stereo remaster?
I believe the stereo masters were gone long before Apple Corp existed. If you look on Past Masters, it says it's in mono. Same goes for "Love Me Do" and "PS I Love You" on Please Please Me. If you look on the CD itself, it says "Stereo except * mono." Those two tracks have the * next to them.

Now, that being said, I don't personally think this forbids any of those three songs from somehow appearing in the game.

According to the remastered Please Please Me booklet:

"However, because the 1962 twin-track tapes of "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" had been discarded, the original stereo vinyl LP presented them in fake stereo. Although this was common practice at the time, it subsequently fell out of favour and so these songs are presented here in mono."

For those saying the masters are gone: It's the "Love me do" and "P.S. I Love You" ones that got wiped(I might be wrong); after that they instituted the "Leave Nothing" policy in the wake of the Beatles Popularity. As for the remasters, a private collector donated a pristine copy of the mono single of "Love Me Do/P.S. I love You" which bacame the master. So unless HMX can seperate a single track into a 4 track, you'll never see "Love me do." Not sure about she loves you...

    Here's a thought:

If HMX made She Loves You, Love Me Do, and P.S. I Love You available as DLC but they remained in their current remastered mono versions as single tracks with note highways charted along with the instruments, but when you missed notes, the music still played, would that be so bad?

If this was the ONLY way we could have these, would it really ruin the game to play without the realistic drop-out (sure it's a nice touch but is it essential?)?

I would rather have these songs charted and playable even in single unseparated mono tracks than not at all. Anyone with me?

In addition to She Loves You, Love Me Do, and P.S. I Love You, also the flipside of the She Loves You single, I'll Get You is also only available in mono.

I'd be alright with that, but then again, couldn't they do with the mono what they did with the stereo and pull instruments out through a mastering (or I guess DE-mastering) process? The only difference, IMO would be the music would be in one speaker instead of two. Not a big deal to me, and some people probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

Then again, I may be completely wrong since I'm not an audio engineer.

I'd think they could do that. I have no problem not having the missed note drop-out.
