    of the bands ive heard, i like pearl jam the most, (although they arent really grunge), closely followed by alice in chains. after that, id probably put soundgarden slightly ahead of nirvana.

    Alice in Chains isn't grunge their heavy/alternative metal. Anyway favorite grunge band is Nirvana by far.
