To be honest, I would have rated Prodigal Son lower, if not for the guitar solo. The acoustic guitars make it sound like a heavy metal Yes or something like that, far from Iron Maiden's sound. However, I love slow, emotional guitar parts which is one of the reasons why I rated Strange World on the debut so high. That guitar solo only barely saved it from an unbolded yellow.

Yeah, the music in "Strange World" is really cool, but Paul's voice kills it for me.

Why so low with Wrathchild? I personally think it's one of the best songs of the Di'anno era because Di'anno absolutely owns that song (as good as Bruce is with it live, he can't hope to come close to Di'anno's delivery), the instrumentation is great, and it is damn catchy.

I've listened to it multiple times, trying to get into it but alas no. Something. About this song just doesn't click for me.

    Metallica - Ride the Lightning

    Ride the Lightning
    Creeping Death
    Fight Fire with Fire
    Fade to Black
    Trapped Under Ice
    For Whom the Bell Tolls
    The Call of Ktulu
    Escape

Metallica's best album, in my opinion. Still doesn't compare to Megadeth's Rust in Peace or Peace Sells, for me.

Seeing as how I haven't done a Maiden album in a while...

Piece of Mind - Iron Maiden

    Revelations
    To Tame a Land
    Where Eagles Dare
    The Trooper
    Still Life
    Flight of Icarus
    Sun and Steel
    Die with Your Boots On
    Quest for Fire

Of the Iron Maiden albums I've reviewed so far, this is the most underwhelming, but don't get me wrong, it's still fantastic.
