Despite being a big fan of Power Metal, I had to go with Other since Heavy Metal is my favorite.

As I've said before, it takes some time and effort to find the better Power Metal bands, but it's well worth it once you find a great band.

Oh well my man, your loss I suppose. Helloween doesnt impress me as much as they just write good flowing songs.

    Prog > Death > Thrash > Black > Power

I could take that further, but I won't

I barely listened to metal at all by the early 90's and I just started laughing at the emergence of every three band sub-genre that metalheads would try to regale me with.

So I don't know what industrial metal probably constitutes. And I'm the lone person to have voted for it.

That was solely based on a preference for industrial music with metal type textures. So would people class (either early or possibly later) Killing Joke as industrial metal?

Manilla Road is great, but i've had a lot of trouble locating their album Metal. Helloween reminds me a really annoying douchebag i had to work with when i was in high school so i can't really get into them now even if i tried.

nah, i wouldn't really slap killing joke in there, though i see the similarities in some of their material and would imagine they are a source of much inspiration for these bands.

i'm hardly a source of vast knowledge on the genre, but i'd reckon industrial metal runs anywhere from godflesh to rammstein to ministry to fear factory to samael to KMDFDM.

There is. They're called Type O Negative.
