@Blasteroids: Except that the entire point of audition mode is that you transfer over the full game file for a song to the 360, and not to any long-term memory. No streaming involved, as far as I know.

So you actually need very little memory to display/output a large amount of data, because the memory does not contain the entire song but mearly a portion of the data which is being streamed.

A good example of such a streamed system is the early MP3 players without anti-jog capability. The memory they contain is so small because it is enough to just decrypt the streaming data before being passed to the output device.

Memory is not a limitation by any means on the xbox 360, but an imposed limit due to some other reason.

It has something to do with the longer a song goes the more chances there are for the tempo map and other things to get off kilter.

At least I'm pretty sure that was the reason we were given over on creators. It's been a while, and I'm old.

    I forget things.

Just out of curiousity as I haven't heard anything about this in a while, is this probably just a total no-go due to Warner's decision to completely ignore RBN?

I have a question too, has any actually tried contacting them and tried to work something out or has this thread just been DT wishlists and complaints about the 10 minute limit?

That's an interesting and more probable reason. Cheers.

Maybe....just maybe, Dream Theater were left out of the RB3 setlist, because they're coming to the RBN instead? It's just a guess, and is probably wrong anyway
