Really lame idea for a thread, in my opinion. There's always going to be someone that says "no, I don't like this band", because these boards are pretty diverse in terms of musical taste.

it's not spam, dude... the original rule outline is just gonna be too strict...
i'd suggest editing the OP and maybe we can find artists/albums that most of us do dig...

for example, i like every band back_blows listed above, but i don't necessarily listen to any on a monthly basis.

I would look for universal acclaim and not regular listening habits. Between my evergreens, my deep well of a collection, old stuff that I somehow continue to forget to listen, and the stupid number of monthly releases its near impossible to get a monthly rotation.
