Angry Why'd we get the radio edit of "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen?

I haven't been on Rock Band for a while, since I've been playing Uncharted 2, but I was delighted to see the Queen Pack 01 available for download. I just DLed it and I love just about all the songs, with the exception of one disappointment.

Why'd we get the radio edit of "Fat Bottomed Girls"? I feel kinda ripped off by this, not gonna lie. The original is about a minute longer. Here's a comparison (thank you YouTube):

    Radio Edit:

    Original:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEbEMjKitA4

Why couldn't we get the original? Now I know that on some CDs (like the Greatest Hits and such) have the cut version, but that doesn't mean we should get it here, too.

I know, I'm probably overreacting, but I'm a stickler for these things. As soon as I realized it was the edit, I stopped playing the song. It's not as fun. That's just me, though. I'll go enjoy the rest of the songs, I guess.

PS - Are there any other songs they've given us radio edits of? And I don't mean censored songs. That's different to me, and makes more sense to do in the game.

Yes the other song in that very pack: I WANT IT ALL
    My favourate Queen song.
I was looking forward to the guitar intro from the ALBUM: 'The Miracle' - which they advertised as it coming from... and I instead get that lame arsed 'I want it all - repeat..' Intro from Greatest hits 2.
It makes no sense why they would choose the shortened version and deprive us of some nice Axe candy .

I realise that perhaps they didn't get access to the Original Album recordings -but wouldn't the edited versions be derived from them, and if they actually chose the shorter versions, why give us the drawn out, over-synthesized version of I Want To Break Free??? the album version doesn't have the organ intro or breakdown - and is much cooler (less is more - according to HMX right? ).

Anyway, I guess my main gripe with edited versions of music I love is the FACT that they are ADVERTISED AS COMING FROM THEIR ORIGINAL ALBUMS! - Highlight I Want It All or Fat Bottomed Girls and their original albums show up, leading us to believe that those are the versions that we will receive if we purchase them
CAN'T HELP BUT FEEL A LITTLE MISLED HMX...No Doubt's song's at least show up as 'the singles', The least you could do is change the display to show - Greatest Hits 2

Really? That sucks. I didn't even realize. I've never heard the album version of that song, and it's a song I really enjoy. I was kinda surprised that they added it to the game, and very happy that they did. But they gotta be jerks and edit them.

This doesn't affect me too badly as they at least gave us the awesome, slightly longer cut of Under Pressure. But this is one of the few times we got a short/worse version of a song...
    Also, I have butter cookies!

It doesn't surprise me that the person whose weapon of choice is the guitar posted this.

The way I see it, since all I really notice is extended guitar bits, we got the radio edit so the whole band can really get into it sooner. Remember when you first played bass for "The Camera Eye," and you had to stare at a blank freeway for a couple minutes, which sucked? There you go.

*Brings up point that Harmonix gives us what they gives us.*

*Also mentions this was promotion for their new best of, and that version might be on that new best of.*

Personally, I know the radio edit a hell of a lot better, and when I first heard the album version my first thought was "Oh, this sounds odd, it's taking a while to get going, isn't it!"

Different strokes for different folks, I guess

You know, I have this hunch, nay, a gut feeling, nay, a sense more instinctual that maybe, JUST MAYBE, Harmonix worked with what they were given.

While I sympathize with your concept of "something that isn't there makes it less fun" (I have that feeling from time to time), I've also learned to accept that they can only give you what they get.

Harmonix works with what they are given by the contacts on the other side.

Nope. It's all Harmonix's vast conspiracy to rip off users by signing contracual agreements with bands and then using different versions of the songs then what they are given.

Because we all know that there'd be aboslutely no repricussions from the bands they're working with for taking the songs they were given and intentionally mis-identifying them.

C'mon, you've been on the forums more than a year...this should be second nature to you.
