Who will be chartibng these songs?

If it's entirely out of Harmonix's hands (if that is so) do you think non-gamers will be able to make thier songs fun to play?

Bands either chart their own songs or hire 3rd party companies to do it for them. There's a playtesting/peer review system in place to make sure the charts are high-quality. This isn't like GHTunes where anyone can just throw up any chart they made in 5 minutes.

Man, I hope it catches on. Record companies could actually start making money off of songs they already own, correct?

Bands shouldn't be in this for the money.. it won't get more than a few thousand dollars for even the most popular songs. They're in this for the promotional aspect of it all. Think about it. MILLIONS of rock band players seeing these songs in the marketplace? Perhaps they'll like the song and go to a music store and buy it! That's what rock band network is for.
