Not to be funny, but why do you need more people to say there is a problem?
It seems pretty conclusive from this thread that people with the PS3 PAL game cannot play online since the 29th of October. Is this then a game bug and we are having to wait on a patch? Could this be the reason for the long delay? And we all known how famous SCEE are for creating further delays on QA testing.

I so hope I am wrong.

All parties involved are well aware that there is a problem. Collecting as much information and researching the potential causes will lead to an expedient fix and hopefully prevent an issue like this from occurring in the future. We need to make sure it doesn't just affect one specific region, internet provider, type of disc, etc...

I'm happy to say that Sony is actively investigating the cause of the issue with us and we're hopeful that a fix can be issued soon.

If Sony's involved as well, then you should also ask for the PS3 FW Level. Mine is the latest available in France: 3.01

FW is not an issue. Pre-DLC both FW worked, DLC gets released and online play no longer works. It has been proven that both FW levels work in the SCEA region with DLC. Considering that it is the same basic core engine, then the DLC should work for everyone else.

What I suspect is that the PAL games use an SCEE server for DLC plus connection pass-through to a global on-line matchmaking server. SCEA have their own server for DLC plus a pass-through to the same global on-line server. The reason I think this, is because if you look at the countries given by people are all SCEE controlled regions. I have not seen a single post from a non-SCEE region who has this problem.

So I see 2 options.
1) A basic flaw in the game engine for PAL, which I doubt because only the GUI part of the engine should be affected by this.
2) The server controlled by SCEE is borked and this region of Sony have not been very helpful for whatever reason with HMX.

Considering that pack prices are in direct violation with the in-game advertising for Rock Band packs and both parties have known about this for some time without resolve, I am of the opinion that SCEE and HMX do not actually communicate with each other for whatever reason.

It would not surprise me if the game servers magically start working tomorrow after SCEE does its network maintenance.

I'm in Australia, playing on PS3 3.01.
I have the issue that I cannot connect online in TB:RB at all.

Abbey Road was not available to Australia until the 29th Oct, however, I didn't download it until the 1st November 2009 from the PSN store.

I was having issues with TB:RB connecting online from the 29th October before I updated to Abbey Road. It appears that it is not just a link to Abbey Road in my case.

It might just be a coincidence that you all updated to Abbey Road the day the server link died.

@HMXThrasher, I think it is poor form that you are scouting this forum where people have taken their time to post their faults, and you still expect people to supply an e-mail to Harmonix, last time I e-mailed Harmonix over an issue, the response returned was less than favorable, so forgive me if i kindly decline wanting to post my fault twice for YOU to read it. You can already see by the multitude of pages supplied by players/fan/purchases of a game with your company logo and name attached that clearly outline the faults they are experiencing, why demand more from a paying customer? We just want a resolution to this problem, not a further list of instructions.

HMX and/or Sony, won't you please hire Blasteroids? This is the first time I see here a serious root cause analysis attempt for this problem.

From those 2 comments i could make the conclusion that Sony is `actively investigating` since yesterday somewhere between 2.41 and 3.50 PM, DAY 12 that is.
I just cant understand why this is taking so long!

-Nation (if not already specified): The Netherlands
-What behavior did you experience before the 29th: No problems
-Who is your ISP (internet service provider)? : Tele2

I've contacted EA support as well and they claim their servers are working. Out of 4 people on my friendslist from both UK and NL none have been able to play.

So EA run the servers for rockband then? cause Fifa 10 has huge problems with online play aswell. And EA are only recently and very grudgingly investigating it. so far their response has been that impatient people are backing out of games so its not their fault.
